In line with the Public Procurement Policy for Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs) Order, 2012 notified by the Govt. of India, STC encourages participation of Micro & Small Enterprises in procurement tenders. STC’s plan for procurement of goods and services from MSEs during the year 2016-17 is as follows:

To achieve an overall procurement of minimum 20% of its total annual purchases through products produced/services rendered by Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs) including 4% from MSEs owned by SC/ST entrepreneurs.

The following benefits will be extended to MSEs as per Govt. Guidelines:

  1. MSEs will be provided tender documents free of cost.
  2. MSEs will be exempted from payment of Earnest Money Deposit.
  3. In tenders, participating MSEs quoting price within price band of L1+15% shall be allowed to supply a portion of requirement by bringing down their price to L1 price in a situation where L1 price is from someone other than an MSE and such MSE shall be allowed to supply at least 20% of total tendered value. In case of more than one such MSE, the supply shall be shared proportionately (to tendered quantity).
  4. Items exclusively reserved for procurement from MSEs will be procured from MSEs.
